About The Documentary

Superposition is an episode of the NSF funded documentary series Curiosity: The Making Of A Scientist produced by the STAGE lab at the University of Chicago. The series focuses on the life and work of scientists, exploring their motivations for entering their fields and the entanglement between their academic careers and personal lives.

This episode is centered around Nate Earnest-Noble, a graduate student pursuing a PhD in quantum computing who struggles to overcome a tumultuous childhood in his journey to becoming a scientist.

The documentary ended up doing quite well at indie film festivals, being nominated for three series and taking home the award for Best Short Film at the 2021 STEM Art and Film Festival. Check out the trailer below and feel free to reach out to me if you'd like to see the full episode!

My Role

I joined the team midway through production, being brought on to animate technical sequences covering quantum bits and integrating them with the overall narrative. I also was a part of post production team, color correcting and grading the final cut.
